I'm looking for the front grill piece that is under the hood, between the fenders
Above the bumper
But I want a "bar" grill, it has a single horizontal bar across the grill
(sorry guys not positive which years IH's had em or what they're called
Thanks in advance

Dozer,

I think what you want is for an "R" series.  Look around, see if you can find pics of a R-100, R-120, or R-130 – they should have the grille you're looking for.  By the way, "R"s were built '53 and '54 (give or take).

If that's what you need, I'll dig around and keep my eyes open.

Thanks Brent, I tried doing a quick goggle search (you know how reliable those are lol) and it was showing 1953, 54 and 55 but I wasn't positive if those were original trucks either. This would be goin on a 1951 L and I REALLY like the look of the 53/54 R grills
so if ya happen to have one that'd be great!

Dozer,

Okay – here's what I've got; found one at an area salvage yard that's ran by an old man that should be on "Extreme Hoarders".  He won't sell me just the emblem – I have to buy the whole grille.  He want's $50 for the grille; the emblem is straight, but not perfect – showing some pitting.  Let me know if you want me to do anything with it.  It might be easier if you email me at heybeez@gmail.com (my oldihc address), or at rustynutsonline@gmail.com (my business email).

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
