No problems show up using McAfee, I do know Norton had a problem last week. I believe they were hacked.

No problems here. You may want to run a full scan of your home PC since the phone worked OK.I use more than one anti-virus program to scan with, not everyone catches them all. Try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware,it's found some nasty's the other didn't for me and my sister. (it's freeware too Cool)

Norton is far from infallible,my sis was a programer for years and won't touch their stuff.

I did a full scan (just to be safe) with Avast and Malwarebytes and my puter had no infestations.  Cool

It could a couple of things that is causing it. If your system found something embedded on the site that it doesnt trust like an odd packet or cookie. If the website has been hacked it may be almost unnoticeable.

My advice is don't use anything not made in the good old US of A, as far as Antivirus or computer equipment, servers, etc.

Watched this thread with interest before posting :-)

We have added NO cookies, and at the moment there aren't even any banner ads running.  When they get fixed, the software may add a cookie – I'm not sure.  Either way, it's for link tracking, not personal info tracking.

There are NO cookies on this site that keep track of ANY personal information – I can assure any and all of you of this.  The forum plugin has a cookie that remembers your user name and password – IF you want it to.  Same goes for the WordPress software.  As far as I know, that should be it.  If anyone has cookie-tracking software, you could confirm this for me.  I used to have it, but with all of the websites I create and visit, it was just too much of a pain :-)

Ok. My Norton says it has blocked an attack from this website calling it a Blackhole toolkit website 12. Yet now the site comes up? Warning and all? Should I be concerned?

i have avg free and a few other scan i run for malware adware and spyware and i have not had any issues with oldihc are any sight.

further more i personally will not run Norton as i have heard way to many complaints plus a good friend of mine that is a computer repair man and he told me Norton is total junk and to stay away from it.

yet i am not telling you I.M. are any one else for that matter what to do.

I did the same and it sounds like there could be an issue with the site. The search I came up with shows several AntiVirus software programs detecting it, not just Norton. In fact, the Malwarebytes program I just downloaded from the link above that suprjohn recommended is now giving me a warning when I come to this site as well. So that is 2 different programs telling me this. I also read that this is a common problem on wordpress sites. Isn't oldIHC a Wordpress type site?

I got a warning earlier this am that there was possibility of virus "malware" so I did not ignore the warning..Now this pm the warning is gone. I use a MacBook Pro so not concerned with viruses but  still heed warnings.
