For the last week when ever I access this site I get a warning from Microsoft Security Essentials about something suspicious detected.

I click on 'clean computer' banner that pops up and it takes care of it.

I have no other problems, (with the computer that is)

Was it while I was online?  Susan says I'm pretty suspicious…

Seriously though – I have MS Security Essentials and nothing shows – BUT, I know there is still a problem.  In the last week I have been pouring my time into this and have fixed a lot of things, but there is STILL some bad/hacked code in here somewhere.

I will be deleting this forum plugin (no worries, the database with the users/posts will remain intact) and replacing it with new software shortly – I'm hoping that will help, and fingers crossed, it might even be the final fix.  I'm not holding my breath though.

Is the thing you click to clean for the anti virus program you installed/normally use??? If not you had better do a deep scan of you computer.

I had the same thing happen last week when I tried to open a link to a thread on this site and first i was redirected to a different web page/URL. Next a smaller window opened and was doing a "scan" which of course found malware. Since it was not for any of the programs I installed and use,I knew it was bogus and if I clicked the clean button it would install some kind of malware. I also knew from experience not to click the cancel button, I instead clicked the little red box with the X in it to close the window. I then got a do you want to leave page window,I took a chance and clicked leave and luckily all the windows closed at which time my anti virus program alarm went off,the pop up said it just stopped a serious threat.

What I should have done it just press the off button and turned my computer off when the bogus scan appeared, that is likely to totally stop the process. Then do a scan after rebooting.

These b#*tards are getting better at disguising their BS every day, whether it's something to screw up your system for no real reason or to install things like keyloggers to steal info. Be careful on the sites you visit or "trust".

I've been getting reports of folks being redirected to a virus scanner via Bing.

Whatever you do, do NOT click on that scanner except for the red "X" and get out of there ASAP.

still as recent as of today when i use Bing search to go to the oldihc web sight my computer at times but not always will redirect me to some totally different random off the wall sight that is not nor has nothing to due with the oldihc web sight whats so ever.

when this happens i just change my search engine to avg search are some other search enginelike google and than thing work just fine and i can access oldihc perfect with no problems.

further more oldihc is the only sight that i am having this issue with so i know it is not me are my computer.

reason being is as john has so kindly let every one know there is still some nasty virus causing trouble for some of us that are members and are search the oldihc sight.

lastly and again i am not saying this is a problem for every one and instead that i am still having issues which follows along with johns waring to every one that there still is a problem.
