Newby here,

Looking for a new radiator for my buddy's '77 Scout II.  Want three-row, with the 21.5-inch width, tank-to-tank.  So far, I'm finding them in the $400-$600 range.

Thanks,

Johnny, aka captradiator

I really don't find that out of line. The last two new radiators that I bought were more than that.  A 1940 Ford four row was about $900  and a custom four row for an R120 Diesel conversion was just over a grand. Both are copper and brass construction. The only new radiator that I could get for a 2002 Dodge 2500 Cummins was an off-shore  unit and it was about $300. The Dodge radiator is aluminum.

In my old age, grant me the senility to forget the persons I never liked... the good fortune to run into the person I do... and the eyesite to tell the difference

Yep,ISB is right, that's about what they go for.

Found this, nice unit IMO even if you have to buy their shroud etc.

Yep, $400-$600 is about right. I paid $200 for a good used one. Had 'Ron Davis' Racing build a custom alum. rad for a 65 Scout 80. Not too much more than a new or NOS.
