I have a lifter tick? when the engine is cold. It does go away as soon as the engine warms up though. During the time the noise is there,it will go away when I remove the plug wire for that cylinder (number 1) which lead me to believe it was an exhaust leak instead but it doesn't appear to be that either. I did change the lifters on that cylinder as well. Any other suggestions?

Turns out that it was piston slap on #1. I need to replace just that piston so I would like to find an IH piston instead of a jobber incase there is a weight difference. Any idea where I could get one? I live in Canada?

Why not check with 'mag623' on the board here. He lives in BC. Here is his site

http://www.magihcvintagetruck.ca/

Or PM/call 'IrishMike' on the board. He has stuff for sale now. Keep it in the family.

If'n you're gonna spread it, use an International

Would help knowing what year it is!

You won't find an IH piston unless it's NOS.

(This piston is the flat top type)

334218C31 Piston (IH)

H997P Perfect Circle

TC1894 Clevite

151867R92 Ring set (1 piston)

WE-270K PC

S40220 Clevite

151043R21  Rod bearing

2410CP  PC

CB-581P Clevite

Exactly why the year can matter.

Is this a "stepped" piston? If so it is very different.

Crossing the PN you posted Clevite gives this PN

224-1895

From overview…

Head Type Description:Special Head Contour Design

Note 1: Contoured Head, Not destroked. Iron Top Groove.

This link will open to the Clevite PN info.

Tried crossing all to Perfect Circle, none did, looking by application failed as well.

Found this in a Google search of "216160R11 piston"

http://www.kb-silvolite.com/si…..8;S_id=310

And this;

I got the piston that I bought on ebay. It was an exact match. It was even in the original IH box. It turned out well. Thanks again for all the help. It wasa good find!
