1) Does anyone know if the removable floor pans utilized any kind of gasket where they bolt together? Mine didn't have any, but that isn't saying much. If you have installed them without gaskets does it get dusty inside.
2) Does anyone know of a replacement ignition switch? Mine doesn't have keys, I realize it could be re-keyed, but I would like to change it out for asthetics.
Thanks

John is right on the switch, I got mine from Watson's. The floor pans have no gaskets, most of us use some kind of floor covering, rubber mats, carpet with sound deadener, etc.

first i have not yet seen any factory type seal for the k/kb 1 thru 5 trucks and i have parted 12 so far.
next napa is a good place for a new ingtion switch.
yet i used no made buy Borg Warner and it is the same diameter so it fits the stock ignition switch hole is the dash perfect.
but the retaining nut that came with the Borg Warner switch is different than the factory switch nut but no buddy probly with ever know the difference.

While removing the floor pan from the cab that I am restoring I found the remains of what I thought was A seal. It appeared to be some kind of loose woven asphalt impregnated material about A half inch wide. I plan to make mine from A heavy grade felt paper used for roofing underlayment.
It should help prevent squeaks and rattles. Goose

Regarding the seal for the floor pan, maybe I can help some. My body shop man gave me some sheets (12"X12") of pliable, rubber/insulation about 1/8" thickness. I cut it in one inch strips and placed it around all perimeters even on the speed nuts. I did not use it on the battery access plate since I am in and out of there. This works well for dust, water, vibration, etc. If you cannot locate this material, let me know and I will get the name and source from my friend.
