Memory but I wasn't sure , more of a guess on that one. I've liked the Kinks from way back and have to admit it was awhile before I got what the song "Lola" was about.  Those cheeky Davies bros. Surprised

I think I might know the heater problem(at least one of them!). The tube that comes out of the head, near the carb, is a 3/4 iud, but there is another inside-threaded fitting (WHY?) that cuts the actual diameter to    1/2, and to compound it even further, it is pretty crusted with rust. I have not attempted to remove these two culprits yet, as I need a suitable time frame for my DRIVER-truck. If I could even double the flow, I'd be happier and warmer. Yes, I do have to check for farm straw, and mouse haven, etc. they look real hard to remove, and I'll probably do a real destruction job getting them out. I never seen so many threads inside and out on both fittings!!!! kinda thin-walled in the final analysis. I highly doubt they are factory.

anyway,…back to the hijack agenda!  Most of the music i collected was from memories and testing you tube just to see, ot other music search engines.  you're right,…there is just about anything out there now.

Sue Thompson was kind of a 1,..2,,maybe3 hit wonder, that could have been heard in the early sixties. American, I think. It was the theme song of my sisters wedding in '62 to none other than Norman!

Do you remember the wandering star song from the movie, Paint your wagon? Good bass voice, who was it again??

Or liberty valence? I like thiose old duster  tunes

Well it was a good guess Sleeve. I alway's liked that song.

Paint your wagon was never on my "to watch" list,I'm not much on musical's. Although I do like "Yankee Doodle Dandy" but only 'cause I like Cagney.

Heres an interesting tid-bit…

Burt Bacharach and Hal David wrote a song called "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance", which became a Top 10 Hit for Gene Pitney but was not used in the film. Apparently, he was not asked to record it until after the film came out. The Royal Guardsmen also covered the song in their 1967 album Snoopy vs. the Red Baron.

Still have no recollection of Sue Thompson…

i don't think Sue made a big 'wow' splash, but for some of us like me and my sisters wedding in 62, Sues songs have more meaning. It is one of my earliest song memories.

For those of us who are into the old music, and I certainly am, the net has most certainly revived and rekindled many of those memories. What a powerful tool! To think that two boys in a garage concocted Google, and now look at it!

I did not know all that about Valence and Gene Pitney. Well,….only vaguely. he certainly had some hot pop songs.

Oh Great!  I didn't know there was going to be a test this week!Surprised

So from what I can gather we are in the category of "obscure lyrics" for 200.

Alex, I'd like to buy a clue Laughing

Dave

P.s. I think, this one qualifies as a free for all rather than a hijacking. LOL

Not real sure about this one but I think it's "Ohio", by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

It speaks to me about my relationship with technology.

no,…I'm not a proponent of a certain 'herb', and I may even forget that issue, but I really like Willie nelson, especially his "Stardust" album. I'm willing to overlook his other agenda, just to hear his great voice, and soul.  His producer thought he was nuts, but, it went on to probably be his most famous production. He was a struggling artist trying to find his place when My truck was brand new.

"I'm diggin up bones, I'm diggin up bones, doin' things that're better left alone"  Who can guess that one?

I do like good country voices.    A good voice in general is my main passion in Music.

I like listening to the Gaither family singing, Good singing teamed with my beleif.

ROFLMAO Dave! I've felt like doing that a time or two…

I just threw that lyric in since the dang song keeps coming into my head since I litened to it. Crikey!

Hope those are safety scissors Sleeve!

There's a few good voices in country music, one I think is very good is Larry Gatlin and with his brothers the harmonies are hard to beat

These day's it's hard to say sometimes who's voice is even real,I saw a thing on CNN and the host sang into this recorder deal (she was BAAAD!) and what was played back was so much better you couldn't tell it was her!
