Y'know- I kinda like the interior.

And at least he has the forethought to add a two wheeler for when the Ch*vy engine breaks down. Kinda like a dinghy.

I see the vendor states the rust is real,,not the fake stuff?? So someone actually applies fake rust. Builder sure had a thing about aftermarket tin signs and license plates..seems a bit too much for my liking but they can all be removed quick enough. Yardsale them off and buy some leopard print velvet for the interior!

LOL  I am the same da** way.  I know I've got a million and one things I still need to do to the L, heck I even need tie rod ends on my daily drive car, yet I still find myself "shopping".  I've even gone to look and bid on some!   It really is hard to stop!

 

This truck however seems a bit high priced for "art" and who knows how much "real rust" is hiding under it!

Couple of the signs, might be worth keeping to put on the shop wall, lots have been bent to fit. I also wonder about the hidden holes under them.  No one commented about the front tilting hood, would like to see that closer. Still, all in all do not think it is worth the starting bid by half at least.

When I was watching the Barrett-Jackson auction last week I was surprised to see a number of "rat-rods" on the block. One was an early '50's chebby pu that looked worse than this one. They were calling them "patina rods" (OY!) one tv host called them "tetanus rods" 'cos of the rust. I like the last one! lol

They all sold too and one was a K?.

Guess the old saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" fits here.

I saw that one too. Has some interesting elements like the one Lloyd pointed out, the front-tilting hood. To each his own I suppose. A long ways away from the farm truck it started as. Definitely more of a rolling, nostalgic-based, collage style art project. Very creative, just kind if feels like a hodge podge of vintage memorbilia. Very busy!  Not my thing but it got my attention.
