I accept checks and PayPal and will ship to Canada and overseas (shipping cost is calculated by destination).
Hinge Pin Mirror Assemblies – KB 1-5 Series

Hinge Pin Mirror Assemblies – R, L, & S Series
I now have 12 gauge 304 stainless steel hinge pin mirror assemblies available for the R, L, & S series IH trucks. The assembly is an exact replica of the original IH and includes the two part bracket, an adjustable stainless mirror arm ( 14″ – 22″), a 5″ round or 6″ X 8″ rectangular stainless mirror head, a new generic steel 11/32″ hinge pin (not like the original) , and all stainless hardware with nylon spacers. The crimped ends on the mirror arms are silver soldered to prevent water from getting in, and the parts are all glass beaded with a finish that can be polished, painted, or powder coated. The bracket can be mounted on either door. The cost for each assembly is $105.00 + $10.95 shipping. I make all the parts except the mirror head here in my shop in Vermont. I accept checks and PayPal and will ship to Canada and overseas (shipping cost is calculated by destination).
In addition to the above, I also make a stainless steel 11/32″ hinge pin with a stainless steel nylon locknut (as shown in the picture) which is like the original IH. I used to include these hinge pins in the bracket assembly, but they are labor intensive to make and I want to keep the price of the mirror assembly reasonable. The price of these stainless hinge pins are $20.00 each if ordered with a mirror assembly (no additional shipping), or $25.00 each if ordered separately plus $4.95 shipping in lower 48.
Center Grille Strips – KB 1-5 Series
I am pleased to offer for sale new reproduction 304 stainless steel center grille strips for the KB 1-5 series trucks. These center grille strips are exact replicas of the original IH, and the material I used with the new batch is polished as opposed to the mill finish on the original batch I offered for sale. I make these grille strips here in my shop in Vermont, and although the new material is polished to about 90% of show quality, there will still be minor blemishes and tool marks in the stainless that can be removed with more buffing. Each strip is $75.00 plus shipping. The attached picture shows a professionally polished strip on the top, and the quality of the strip I am offering for sale on the bottom.
Cowl Mount Mirror Assemblies – L-Series
I now have 1/8″, 304 stainless steel cowl mount mirror assemblies available for the “L” series pickups with hidden hinges. The bracket and mirror arm are replicas of the original IH and the assembly includes the cowl mirror bracket and bracket backer plate, a new stainless mirror arm, a 5″ round stainless mirror head, and all bolts, nuts, washers, and spacers necessary for mounting.
The crimped ends on the mirror arms are silver soldered to prevent water from getting in, and the parts are all glass beaded with a finish that can be polished, painted, or powder coated.
Please note that all the brackets I make may have minor tool marks that can be buffed out with no problem. The bracket can be mounted on either side of the truck. The cost for each assembly is $95.00 + shipping ($10.95 in the lower 48 states). I make all the parts except the mirror head here in my shop in Vermont.
Center Grille Strip Retainer – K-Series
I am pleased to offer for sale the center grille strip retainer for you guys that want to add a stainless steel grille to your “K” model truck. This part is made from 20 gauge mild steel, and is a copy of the retainer on my KB truck.
This part can be spot welded, plug welded, or pop riveted to the nose of your truck. The KB stainless grille strip that I also make slides onto this part.
The retainer alone is $35.00 + $5.95 shipping, or a retainer plus a new stainless steel grille strip is $100.00 + $5.95 US shipping.
I accept checks and PayPal and will ship to Canada and overseas (shipping cost is calculated by destination).

K/KB Gauge Restoration
Tired of the your dash gauges looking worse than the rest of your truck? Have your gauge cluster looking and working like the day it rolled out of the factory!
I can do a complete restoration of your K or KB dash gauges addressing every detail of the entire unit. I have restored many of these International clusters and treat each one as if it were going in my own vehicle.
Your instrument faceplates will look like brand-new and your speedometer & gauges will all operate properly.
A typical complete restoration is $300.00 together with a quick turnaround time.

Hi guys, and gals.
Since this area is the product of a query I made some time ago, I figured I should put something in here. As the weather cools down, and gets ready to change to winter, I will be beginning experimentation with casting replacement IH truck Badges. Mainly the cowl badges, and hood or grill ornaments that came from IH. I intend to make these in aluminum, and in brass, with stainless bolts cast in for mounting to the truck, in the original position and holes. I will not be having these chromed. That is up to you to choose to do. I prefer to have the option to hand polish the emblems, as they might need.
I have mentioned to several of you that I would give a discount to guys who provide me with a sample that I can use to create a mold. The sample will be returned, but there is a risk of loss or damage in shipping, so if you have a broken, but complete part, IE, the mounting pins are gone, or the thing came off in 3 pieces, this is preferable. If the item has pitting, I would need to polish the rough points down some. I will take every precaution to return it in the same or better shape.
I already have the International name for the L, R, and S series. I have R-110, 160, and 180. I have L-150, and 160. I have the L hood ornament that holds the plastic with the triple diamond symbol.
I still need a sample R series grill emblem that fits 110 to 180 trucks.
PM me with any inquiries.
Mike
you can put me down for a L hood emblem.
mine is missing and not having much luck finding one.
Thanks from Jake
Mike,
Have you made an S-110 badge? I’ve got one I can send you so as to make a copy. It is in decent shape, just the pitting on the surface that is assosiated with this kind of stuff. How much are your badges going for? How about the “International” script? Drop me an email and we can talk further.
Thank you

I have a IH grill center emblem for a 1955 R-130 that bolts to the grill bar of my 55 do you need it for a sample? I am in Tennessee.
I am looking for the ” Triple Diamond” name plate for the front of the hood for a 1941 K1 truck. Is this something that you have available?
Thanks Alan (scout76)
Well guys, looks like Jupes wanted that new visor more than anybody else! He will get the free unit in exchange for a chance to copy his. Seems some how proper in the order of things, that Cornelia donate to the rest of the crew.
Checkthe gen discussion post for more.

Someone asked about R hood emblems. I assume you meant grill emblems, and yes, these, as well as L hood emblems will be attempted.
Mike
EDIT: It seems that Jupes was happy to help out, but was confused about which visors I was refering to. He thought I meant the inside units, and I am looking to reproduce the outside, over the windshield type. Consequently, the drive is still on to find a donor who would like the free visor. This is for L, R, and S series trucks at the moment, with newer models to be considered, once I figure out the details. I have even thought of doing this from stainless, rather than each needing to try a paint match. Less chance for damage, and will last better.
Thanks again Jupes for trying to help.
Mike
‘Mag 623′, Still lookin for a visor to reproduce? I have a classic one in usable shape but not restored yet. Picked it up some years ago and will have to rally forces to send it to you. It was a well known maker, but no longer in business. Let me know if my visor is need for the reproduction process and some bona fides as to how this should be commenced.
Cheers, Don

Mike, I have a complete set(5) of 34 C-1 hub caps with the three diamonds and the word International across them. Is That what you repoduced? I am interested in getting a set of these.
Sorry it’s been so long since I got in here. The casting was put on hold for now, and visor work has commenced on a single piece repro for L, R, and S series.
The hub caps are actually not me, but Mike Schmudlach who has the good info for them.
Best way to contact me is by PM for expidited response.
Thanks for all the support. Casting will happen, but need a few better resources.
Mike
Just talked to Mike about the hubcaps…He said to give him about a month before they’d be available. I’m really exctied about these. I’d actually prefer them raw & un polished so I chrome them…but I guess I’ll wait.

Can some member help us. We have bought a 1965 Inter DCO 405 COE truck and we wish to get a LUND fibreglass visor that was made by Lund for this truck. Lund have not made the big truck visors for many years. I have contacted the new owners of Lund and they have lost all the old moulds over the recent years in floods etc.
There are 2 DCO owners that have we have found thru the AHTS truck show pictures that have the Lund visor on their DCO’s, Saxby Implement co of Mendon NY State and Stephen Carter Ninety Six South Carolina. There may be more DCO owners with the Lund visor.
Does any member have any suggestions of how we can somehow get a copy made, I have spoken to Stephen Carter but little progress and someone has tried with Saxby, but not positive.
We welcome any ideas.
Thank you Harry
I need a starter/starter kit for my truck. 1950 L110, converted to 12v. My current starter fried the other day.
christophernorberg@gmail.com Thanks!
I have a 1947 kb 5 where can i find a master cylinder? It has a brake boster on it now. But it is not hook up when i got it.Do i have to use the booster.or can i get a master cylinder to work the brakes.all so the wheels are split rims everone says the are dangerous. Can i get a another rim to fit.
Chuck,
Split rims are dangerous if you don’t know how to handle them. If the rim is not seated properly they can blow off when the tire is aired up. Many people have been killed over the decades. Proper set up calls for a cage made of pipe during inflation to contain the tire if the rim comes off. The tires can also be safely inflated by placing the tire, split rim up, pinned under the arm of the typical in-floor lifts at service stations. Tire is inflated in steps and the rim is whacked with a hammer at each increment of inflation to assure it is seated in the groove of the wheel. There is no guess work, you can see whether it is seated down into the groove very easily.
There is another version called a safety rim. They are not split. They are a continuous ring of steel that is ever so slightly oval shaped. It has to be slipped down over the wheel and rotated about 90 degrees to bring the eccentricity of the ring into alignment with the eccentric lip of the wheel. It is mush less straight forward than the split rim. I once had two and eventually gave them away.
Custom rims are available. My latest acquisition came out of Reno where the owner found a tire store that carried HD universal un-drilled rims. They would drill them for any lug pattern. Expensive, but no more so than good mag wheels.
Nice thing about split rims is they can be dis assembled with hand tools. A non-split rim requires a VERY heavy duty tire machine to mount HD 16″ tires.
I can probably get the name of the shop in Reno that does rims. Email me directly at bafrank(at)att(dot) net.
The polished stainless steel IH hubcaps are here and they are beautiful.
1/2 ton 5 bolt rim (15″ and 16″) $400 for a set of four includes shipping
3/4 ton 6 bolt wheel (high dome) $440 for a set of 4 includes shipping.
Mike
Hi all, I’m Sue (Matthews) Mom. I know his truck is probably to big to make a copy that would help any of you, but I know it had that big IH emblem on the front when they towed Matt’s 1960 R – 200 dump truck home. And I believe there were other emblems on the side’s of it’s nose. But, if by some chance We can help? I will ask my husband to send a piece you can borrow to make a copy mold of it. I would run outside and take a picture but, the nose is gone! My husband took it off already. Poor little truck looks worse than the day it got here lol.
I actually need information about how to identify the forward side of the front axle on a 55 R110.
Like a novice restorer I didn’t realize there is a slight canter to the front axle. I have been told the canter is supposed to be forward. There seems to be no identifying markings on the axle casting to show which is the forward side. Maybe someone has a hint. Possibly the way the zerk fitting are seen when greasings the king pins. I suspect the zerks are pointing to the rear but don’t know for sure..Woe is me for not taking a photo of the axle before I pulled it out to clean it up.
Thanks…Mike
I am looking for a set of side mirrors that will fit my 1952 Metro Van and/or any other parts that may work.
