Green Diamond Paint Code

I want to repaint my GD 214 the original color with a catalized paint. Has anyone come up with a paint code?

We use Ace Hardware International Green it is very close to the original paint. A can is $3.50. You could paint a sheet and have it scanned for any paint you like.

RUSTOLEUM have a close green in rattle can and quarts. RUSTOLEUM is really good and I am thinking it can be catalyzed with an additional spray.
This paint is tough and can easily handle normal engine temperature.

When I did my KB-2, I used Bill Hirsch Auburn green which they suggested after I sent them a paint sample from a protected part of the truck.. It was an exact match and came out, and stood up well. I also agree that Rustoleum is good paint- even my paint guy says so. Stickman 207

Re: Green Diamond Paint Code

At some time when we were looking the other way, the American company RUSSTOLEUM got into bed with TREMCLAD THE Canadian rattle can paint company. I am thinking there may be a few differences in the formulas because of some wrinkling when one is applied over the other, while the paint is still wet.
There was a time, decades ago, when rattle can paint had a bad reputation, one they earned. All of that has changed. I maintain that if a person shows respect for one of these paints, they can expect to have a premium finish.

I used the Ace Hardware Green as well, turned out great IMO. Plus it's a good quality paint that will just get harder over time.

Re: Green Diamond Paint Code

I rattle canned my panel with Krylon Dual Superbond "paint and primer in one"

if you snitch the spray tips from regular Dual can it sprays a 4" fan,

I was able to lay it out with no frost or runs, I masked off sections, did them one at a time,

I was happy with it for the amount of $ spent, panel needs a ton of body work to justify a pro paint job, but this made it presentable for now.
