fiberglass fenders

I came across this on craigslist. A company in Canada makes fiberglass parts for International pickups?!!! Doesn't say who the manufacturer is though.

Re: fiberglass fenders

My friend owns, http://scoutpluss.com/
He and I have talked about making fiberglass fenders in one of his shops. I would supply my best fenders, grill and tailgate for making the molds. I suppose cab corners could be made too. It may be best to contact Rod, the owner of Scout Pluss and show interest in these parts. I do not know, but I have to think a fiberglass fender could be retailed for less than those in the CL advert.
I suggested fiberglass front floor sections would be a welcome part, as many of the originals are rusted.
I have been making ABS textured plastic door panels and headliners. A person with moderate skills could make their own ABS panels. I buy my ABS at SABIC POLYMER SHAPES. This company has locations in many cities across North America. https://www.polymershapes.com/

Re: fiberglass fenders

I was talking to Rod about this too,

on the epay guy, there is some question to if he really has the fenders or not, he has a very sketchy rep on other sites,

I went to his home page and it is WAY out of date says links last updated November 2015, the pictures he does show have parts that are covered in dirt and look like they've been laying in the weather for years,

I'd proceed with caution,
Gentle Men! you can't fight in here! This is the war room!

This was more curiosity than anything else. I just stumbled across it and was wondering what you guys knew about it. It's always good to have options, thanks for the feedback

Re: fiberglass fenders

SEVERAL years ago. this "Showcars" outfit advertised that they had a fiberglass L-series grille. Turned out they never got one made, and the guy who sent them his hard-earned money had some difficulty getting a refund...as I recall.
My posts contain my own opinions...your mileage may vary, void where prohibited, objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.
