Every ashtray pull knob I've seen has a defect in the plastic. Is my experience unique?

Sun ate them up, also dad snuffing his cigarette on them,

I have a few trays with real nice knobs on them, I guess depends on which way truck was facing when parked for 40 years,

my friend up north repops them on his 3D printer

I find myself quite lucky to have a solid handle in very good condition..
Always liked the cursive written logo on the tray as well..

Quite classy looking if you were to ask me :)

L, R, S, ash tray was standard equipment, K, KB had an optional ashtray, very rare, farmers didn't pony up the $2.50 more for an ashtray

My KB5 has a small ashtray on a swivel that appears to also have an exposed node that is wired beneath the dash for lighting up. Do you think that came from the factory?

I should've been more specific, there is no listing for an ashtray in the parts book, K, KB trucks never came with one, But dealer options were available,
only ones I've seen that looked like they've been there since new were a round half sphere type one with a small opening at the top, it twist turned to remove from a dash mounted bracket,
I used to have a picture of one, but don't know where it is,
Haven't seen this type on any other make so I suspect specific to IHC?
