Heater Ducting - KB2

Can anyone tell me (or show me) the proper routing for the defrost ducting? Or is it just 'find the best way to make it fit'?

do you have the barn door type heater, if so right upper port goes to passenger windshield vent, easier to do with glove box out,
left one goes to drivers side, a long piece that goes along firewall avoiding all the wires and control cables, if you put it closer to front, the cowl vent mechanism rubs it,

I replied to your email.
For the information of others who may read this and need the same information for replacement control cables, look on the DORMAN web site.
Dorman is possibly the largest manufacturer of replacement automotive parts in the world and they are in USA.
I am sure that many of the OEM parts that come from a new American car dealer parts department started life at DORMAN

Yes, that's the one.
That's what I was wondering. How is it supposed to run to avoid contact with the cowl vent?
Pictures anyone?

A Bowden cable is very flexible. The DORMAN replacement cable is much longer than you will need. You should be able to pick a re-route for the cable. These cables need to be lubricated about once a decade. Automatic transmission fluid or 3 in 1 oil are good choices. After this WD40 will keep the cable moving.

Your email asked for help with dash knob removal. I am not familiar with the K trucks. It is better to post your questions in this section where other K truck owners may be able to help.
