I will probably never get around to painting my truck but if I do I favor two tone paint schemes and this blue and white one in particular.

You can't beat the natural petina look of your truck. As long as you like it, go with it. I think it looks cool.

Re: New Photo

I recently took a ride to Grant Colorado looking for parts and visited Coonrods IH. While Phil was back east his trusty helper Derek was there. They have tons of old parts and trucks for sale. Derek went above and beyond the call of duty to help dig transmissions out of the shed until we found the right one. All in all it was a good experience and I got to spend time in old Binder heaven in the beautiful Rocky Mountains! They ship parts as well so keep them in mind as source for your projects.

Coonrod's is a real treasure. Got some Scout 80 park lights for my L-110 project.

Not an IH BUT I have always had a weakness for these, half ton Studebaker NAPCO 4X4 conversion. I'd love to add one to the herd if the right one came along.

I've always had a soft spot for the styling of those old Studebakers.

Re: New Photo

My paternal Grandmother was number twelve of thirteen kids, all seven boys and several of the girls worked at Studebaker at some point in their lives. They were a good family business to work for, from what I gather. Uncle Herb had a half-ton 2WD Stude pickup until his death in the early 2000's, and had more than one replacement part for nearly every single part on it stashed in the barn. No frame, but engine, tranny, cab and NOS fenders, etc. I think it all went to one guy in the end.

I'm told that body style had some industry firsts- no running boards, a step behind the lower door and double-wall bed sides
