Here are some more pictures of the sump assembly. It has PurOlator cast in the base. Looking at an MT-209 original parts manual for L110-122 shows the "Deluxe" housing code 1250 and also a "Kralinator" oil filter housing code C1256. It is similar to mine however it has a permanent center shaft and a wing nut vs a bolt that threads into the sump. The filter itself looks very similar. My guess is that the PurOlator succeeded the Kralinator but I have no Canadian parts manual for the R-series to confirm that.

I took a chance with a NAPA 1006 (WIX 51006) filter and it paid off. The gasket fits perfectly and so does the filter.
