R112 with R110 hood badge

I found a 1955 R112 Truck but the hood badge says R110 and I thnk it is original. Was that typical for IH to use the badges endi g in zero even if it had special options?

Re: R112 with R110 hood badge

Any model between R100 and R120 will have a badge that says " R100 Series ". There are at least 5 of them: R100, R102, R110, R111, and R112.
There may be others of which I personally am unaware. When they got to R120, they had that " Series ", which consists of at least R120 & R122, I think.
Again, how many more in that series, if any, I don't personally know.
Others that know IH much better than I will surely chime in...........

The R100 and R102 would show an R100 series emblem. The 110, 111, and 112, would have an R110 series emblem.

Re: R112 with R110 hood badge

To the best of my knowledge IH only used badges ending with a ten, i.e. 100,110,120,130, etc. All of the sub models in between these would be badged the next size down.
