Fuel tank ascending unit for K-2

I have checked the parts format and found nothing related to this. the tank I bought had sat outside I guess with gas and water in it and the unit came out in pieces. I have not looked into seeing if some Chevy/Ford units from the late 40's could be made to work. Thought I would ask here to see if anyone had any thoughts or ideas. I have a 1946 K-2.
Thanks.

Several people on this site have said that the Ford sending unit sold by Mac's will work but it didn't work for me. I may have some extras I would part with. Somewhere on this site there is a very good post on how to repair the original if it is not too far gone . Also, Capt'n Bob who posts from time to time can repair them. Good luck! - Stickman 207

Stickman I would be interested in buying one. Mine was too far gone to do anything with.

KB1. The float on my sending unit was porous. I replaced the float and bent the float arm to match the dash Guage. I believe it was a “Vintique” unit for a 6v Ford.

That was a newer one, not compatible with King Seeley, hopefully they didn't buy it for a KB truck

I am in the process of putting in a Ford unit. I will let you Guys know if it works or not. Tired of guessing how much gas I have.
