Fel-Pro Bulk Gasket Material

This is more general information than a part. Many gaskets for our old trucks are NLA or absurdly expensive. I know a lot of you guys make your own stuff just because.

But asking at the parts store for gasket material does not get you much choice and they don't really know anything. Here is a great listing of part numbers but no prices for Fel-Pro sheet gasket material. The real benefit is the detailed descriptions of each gasket type, size and it's recommended application. Every product is available in different thickness's too.

Just get the part number and most any parts store can get what you need.

Delco Remy Part Numbers

See attached files. Maybe useful for cross reference.

- Ignition Parts
- Starter Parts
- Generator Parts
- Switches, Horns, etc.

They start from 1949, but I guess it doesn't matter if you have a 49 KB or a 46 K !?!?!

Re: Window Reg. small gear

*Part Description: Window Regulator small gear (5 tooth)
*Part Number: A48105ARK
*Source: Macs Auto

*Phone Number:877-220-8230
*Comments:
With modification this kit will repair the window regulator where the small gear is badly worn. The swing gear should be inspected for wear before trying this repair. Machining skills are needed to do this.

1. Remove the 3 rivets holding the small gear casing, remove the worn gear.
2. Remove the centering pin from the regulator by carefully grinding the backside of the pin.
3. The square hole needs to be made round, I used a tapered reamer, then using a 5/16 inch straight reamer to get to the correct size for the new gear.
4. Fit the 5/16 hole to the new gear.
5. The new gear does not have threads for the handle retaining screw (1/4-20). Drill and tap to accept the screw.
6. The square is longer and you can use it as is or shorten it to the same length as the original gear. (I shortened it)
7. I used high temp bearing grease and assembled the new gear and casing using the supplied rivets. Two rivet holes need to be drilled in the new casing to match the W/regulator holes.

Re: Parts Link Format wheel bearings

I am having a difficult time matching front wheel bearings for my 1949 KB1. I tried NAPA on line with the part #'s I found in this parts link to no avail. The post was 12/22/12 so probably good no longer. any help would be greatly appreciated.
