[/img] 1960 B 140 all wheel drive used primarily for snow removal. I have used IH products for over 20 years and ocasionaly restore them. Look forward to learning more. Truck shown has 2 pto drives one for winch and one out rear for post hole digger. Truck was a utility company power line truck used to set poles before I got it 20 years ago. Restoration in pic is 10 years old and the truck is sporting a 9ft snow plow.

Re: New Member from Michigan

It is a beast. I do not know which engine came in it but the power company put a 345 in it somewhere along the line and it suits it just fine. It was a dually but the wheels were starting to scare me so I had new ones made that are the single wheel style, with 37x12.50x17 load range E super swampers that work extremely well in the snow . It has a gin pole which I do not use it but have it. The running gear on it is massive for a 140 series with a 13 inch ring gear in both axles and of course a divorced transfer case which is also quite large. Gear ratio is 6.17:1 and when in low range it really creeps. I think trucks like this were special ordered for the application including a very large generator driven by 2 belts, a massive enclosure for the cooling shroud which is likely for low speed or stationary operation. I guess you can probably tell I still like the truck.
