It's a VS478 Gas Engine,with a 5&2 rear. Truck has only 68,000 Original miles.

Nice Truck! GLAD to see a "Fleetstar"! I drove a '72 tractor, with a 6-71,10-speed, with a rear air-tag.The mechanic gave it a twin turbo/aftercooler upgrade! Everyone "fought" over driving that truck! another local company had a fleet of "Gassers",either the 478,or 534's Two of them went OVER 1,000,000 MILES,without a major overhaul! ENJOY!!

I have a '73 6-71 powered Fleetstar and would like to see how he could of fitted twin turbo's never mind an aftercooler? I just don't see the room. The blower intake is right against the frame, barely enough head room to get the valve cover off. A single turbo is do able, but tight, twin, I just don't see it.
