Oil Pressure Gauge Sending Unit

Oil Pressure Gauge Sending Unit
Scottso Did more research...
First I looked in the MT-97 (R series book) and found there is only one temp. and one OP sender listed for all models, engines and voltage.
Of course the numbers are NFG today so I went to other books that would have the SD/BD/BG engine family. Many listed the same later pn's and the gauges all use a voltage regulator same as the L,R & S do.
In the MT-118 ('66-'68 Light Line) I found the gauge cluster for flat back cowls is the same type used in the L,R & S.
With that,I went to cross referencing the IH numbers listed for the BG241/264...

259358C91 Temp. sender
TS17 SMP
TS6178 Echlin

I also found a supposed NOS OP sender pn 84779HB that's listed in the MT-97 but I don't think it to be correct for a gauge sender,an idiot light yes.

I did however stumble on a NOS cluster VR;

Good price if anybody needs one,I've seen them listed at 3 times that.
Even if it doesn't look exactly like what you may have, shouldn't really matter as IH had at least 6 variations with the difference being the attached mounting bracket and/or the type of terminals.

Re: Parts Link

I was at my local O'Reilly Auto Parts today buying ignition parts for my BD240 (I got the rotor, cap, condenser, points, plugs, and wires).

I asked the counter person buy chance did they carry a Sock Type Oil Filter for the International Pickup. Low and behold he said that they did.
An earlier thread 2 yrs ago on this forum had given Carquest as a place to get the filter. So. I'm just providing another location to acquire the filter.

O'Reilly Auto Parts carries a good number of parts for farming equipment and the International Truck.

Re: Parts Link

I don't know who all might need this info on distributor small parts. I just happen to have a broken clip and this is the result of some of my searches.

MT-97 #1871838 crosses to the numbers indicated below. Classic Chevy showed it as the OE#.

OUTSIDE SUNVISORS:
http://www.vendio.com/stores/bobsclassicautoglass/
This business has a good selection of outside sunvisors. While they do not mention IHC, it may be possible that one of the offered models may fit, with some minor modifications.
I will very likely be ordering their automotive glass for another car project. Their shipping is reasonable.
Check out their web-site.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

Re: Parts Link

A couple of us using this forum has bought outside sun visors from a gentleman in Mo. He has good visors and he also sometimes has Unity spotlights with the IH logo on them. He is a great guy who is willing to help find the correct parts. Look him up @ loupeestuff.com My visor fit on with no modification.
