No! I can't walk and chew gum, so I gave up chewing gum, now I have trouble with walking. This is the reward for a life well wasted.

Re: Craigslist Vancouver BC

on a side note, the guy who restored this travelall in California and sold it to the present owner has listed a 56 travelall he owns too.

I talked to his buddy who is doing the ads for him, the present owner paid $9800.00 last year, so he is just barely breaking even with shipping taxes ect.

Thanks for the heads up. Are you sure that this is the same Travelall? I don't know anything about this one, but we hope to have some answers on Tuesday and maybe a Binder.

this one?

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/c ... 26416.html

I see he says he imported it in 2007, the guy I talked to must be mistaken about when his buddy sold it, as he said it was last year, he's posting ads for the original owner/restorer.

I "think" we are talking same one,

here it is in the background of his current ad, how many tweety bird yellow travelalls were restored in Cali then sold to a guy in Canada I don't know,,,,got the same window sticker,,,

Re: Craigslist Vancouver BC

OMG, those tell-tale window stickers. What are the chances?
There is always the possibility that the new owner has discovered some body problems in the calm and quiet of having the T'all at home.
Well, I sure hope that it is a good one. Thanks for the tips and tricks in your email, I owe you one.
I just do not want to start a really big project after spending this kind of money up front. I have a complete L110 in parts and pieces hiding in the basement, just outside my Wife's wine room. One way or another the complete L will have to be sold or finished. Either way, the L will not cost any more in time and or money than a needs all T'all. New 12 volt wiring and moving the front spring perches and a few other minor things is about all the T'all will need for our purposes. Maybe I should start looking for another 4bta. I did a quick inquiry and they are a few good ones around. I have a new isb, 5.9 litre complete with an NVG4500 and an NVG241dld and Dana 60 axles for my Crewcab . Now, I have to live long enough to get it all done. Well, I could leave detailed instructions, I suppose.

Re: Craigslist Vancouver BC

My son and I left home at 05:30 today, and drove about five hours each way and nearly a 1000 kilometers, return, to see this Travelall and came home without it. We will continue to look for a better example. This T'all did not match my expectations for a vehicle described as "restored".
I have been instructed that a T'all is a very rare vehicle. Just by coincidence, I know of three other examples, for sale, this side of the border.
The trip of discovery was not wasted time. We now know that a T'all may be the best option for "the Kid's" needs. Sadly, it will not be this one.
