Anyone out there have an extra set of bezels and lenses for the driving lights on a 1955 R112? If so please let me know.

Are these the same as the ones on the L models? If they are then they are the same as the ones used on early scouts. I was able to find a nice set off of an old scout in a junkyard when I had my L112.

Mike,
I am not sure. That would be nice. I am not sure if they are the same. They are roud of the ones on ebay and they show a bezel, lens and gasket. Are the Scout ones like that?

The R was a transition truck, I tried to look at pictures before I posted that response and thought I saw rectangular lights on them. That is what the L models and the early Scouts had. If yours are round like my S model I have seen reproduction lens for those with one of the vendors. Let me see if I can find those again.

It'd be worth your while to prowl a junk yard or two then and see if there's an early scout......might be just what you need!

Yes, those lights are the same on Ls Rs and early Scouts. The only difference I think is the color of the lens. The pickups were white/clear and the Scouts were orange. The last pair I bought were for a Scout, but the orange lens looks fine to me on my R.

L and R use same size lenses, L series had a constant pattern on them R had a pattern with a fish eye pattern over the light bulb, both interchange,
Only your hairdresser will know if you have R ones on a L, or visa versa

...and the Scout lights used a double-contact socket. They used them for the turn signals as well. So with a set of the Scout lights, you can too.
