You certainly should try to talk your buddy into selling it to you. It will make a fantastic ride when it is finished.

When I registered my Kansas R 120 pickup, I was required to get it weighed.
It weighed empty (in stock form) 4400 lbs.

A Toyota Corolla weighs 2832.9 Pounds (lb) An Old IHC 4X4 has to weigh much more than 3250 pounds. The GVWR for that truck is 11,000 pounds.

Popped the head off to have a look... ugh. The valves are super built up with carbon and the #3 and #4 cylinders are rusted...not heavy, but still.... yuk.

On the GVW of the R-140...I found some of Jim's old data online. The R-140 is considered a 1-1/4 ton truck. Based on the specs for the LB-140, that gives us a GVW of 9,000 pounds.

GROSS vehicle weight. LOADED.

Since the R-151 shows a GVW of 10,750 pounds, that makes the 9,000-pound GVW for the R-140 sound about right.
