That L-series doghouse made my eyes light up...
My posts contain my own opinions...your mileage may vary, void where prohibited, objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

Down boy! Lol I drove to Wichita for that, the hood, and its associated cab, 98% rust free!

Re: R140

How much sludge can an SD220 handle? Engine was running. Sat for a year. The oil filter is totally plugged, fair amount of sludge in the pan and thick goo on the valve train...just want it to yard drive for now.

Re: R140

I'm not the engine guru here but I'd clean up what I could get at and then do a couple of short interval oil changes of a few hundred miles with inexpensive Walmart oil to clean it out some more and then switch over to my preferred brand and weight. The modern oil should hold a lot of the old sludge in suspension.

Some photos from yesterday. I need a winch for my r180. I keep using her for pulling things.

Indeed. I love those trucks too. I sold that one though. Shortbed 302. I've done a ton of work tomit but needed the cash more.
