Re: Lock

Are these tapered cones, or just simple lock washers? Tapered cones can be purchased from Euclid (Meritor) by stud size.
I don't know what the newer axles use.
Other axles use a star type (shakeproof) lock washer

Re: Lock

Thank you Geoff.
I have found the two locks that I was needing, one for each side. Can you guess where I found them? At my home, close to other parts that I have bought to my truck. I forgot completely, that some time ago, I bought these parts.
Age is coming to me, my friend, and my memory sometimes fails.

Re: Lock

Jorge,

I do that all the time. I just spent a couple of days last week looking for some of the lug nuts for my L model. They were for the left side, I went to my local parts house and, of course, they didn't have any in stock and the kid behind the counter looked at me like I had grown a second head when I asked for left handed nuts. I found them in my shed, I had put them in a soup can with 'L' marked on it for safe keeping when I pulled the wheels off to do my brakes a couple of months ago.

Re: Lock

Waltesefalcon,

I'm always asking to myself, where did I put this, where did I put that.
If something that I'm looking for, is not in front of my eyes, or I forgot where I kept it, this problem happens to me.
The lock washers, were in the flat mail package that was delivered to me when I import them. But until now, I don't remember that I bought them.
