Electrical Switches Questions

R-112. I am having difficulty identifying a couple switches.

What are the 2 switches to the left of the ignition? There is a red knob that you can pull out that the letters are wore off. Then to the left of that there is a very small toggle switch (size of tic tac) pointing down from the dash.

Is the horn in the steering wheel on these trucks? I can't find any kind of horn button and my steering wheel has about 3 rolls of electrical tape wrapped around it.

Over towards the passenger there is a knob to pull that is labeled heat. Directly to the left of that there is what looks like a "socket" that has a wire that runs behind the heater unit. What is this "socket"?

I can at least answer the horn question, yes the button should be in the center of the steering wheel. The horn wire goes down through the center of the steering shaft and exits out the bottom of the steering box.

I'm thinking the little one pointing down could be the dome light? It's to the left of the green cord. I also don't know what the red knob is.

In the second pic the knob says heat but you can't see that in the pic. The thing the left of the heat knob has a wire running to the heater.

The toggle switch under the dash and on the far left is the dome light switch. A guess is that the "socket" beside the heater switch was for a cable to pull the door on the heater that would have deflected the air flow for defroster.

The red knob looks a flasher switch.

I agree that the "socket" likely had a pull knob in it for deflecting air into the defroster. That would be much handier than in my L, you have to bend over under the dash and open or close a door on the side of the heater to run air to the defroster.

Thanks for the input guys. When you say flasher switch, are you referring to 4 ways?
