So while going over finding Vacuum leaks with EmanM18, I got motivated to go have a look at my truck again. I found my big vacuum leak, the air horn system. There is a little pump on the firewall that must have a leaky diaphragm. So I disconnect that and plugged the line, eureka! I can now open the choke most of the way, still not fully. Now with my big leak solved, I went around with the carb cleaner test again and found a few smaller leaks: power brake booster vacuum hose, and the carb bowl to base gasket. Anyone know where to get a carb kit for the little holley 1bbl?

I got mine at "Carb Junkys"

https://www.carbjunkys.com/

I might mention that on the Holley one barrel 1904 carbs the worst thing you can do is over tighten the float bowl screws, it distorts the metal and then the float bowl will be prone to leaking. There are several fixes should your's already leak.

I got my kit here--https://www.carburetor-parts.com/
The web site has a lot of good info for carbs and vacuum including a video on how to repair leaks at the float bowl.
good luck with it

I cant seem to find my carb anywhere. Its stamped with 192003 R91 1620 0829... seems to translate to a H1-1904? Also noticed small, presumably vacuum passages around the main bore, seems they get blocked by the governor. Is that normal or do I need a different base gasket?

The way I remember, but could be wrong, was there as a spacer between the gov and the carb it had a slot in four places around the main bore to feed that passage.
I'm trying to remember, do you have a velocity gov or a vacuum operated gov?
