Trucks with 34" tires like a 6.00 20" tires?

Does anyone have a 34" tire like a 6.00 20"? I'm looking at completely different wheels on my setup but having trouble finding the right tires over 34" and don't want my truck to look like a roller skate.

I have 225/70R 19.5 medium duty truck snow tires on my skid steer and they are 32" tall with a 7" tread width on a 6 1/2" wide rim, retreads. I have 235/80R 22.5" on the front of my F-600 Ford and they are 37 1/2" tall.

19.5 inch rubber is very common in this area and that makes them cheap, 22.5 is common also but the sizes that look decent while replacing 6.00 20" are a little harder to come by. The sizes of 22.5" that OTR semis use are pretty easy to find. 20" rubber in truck sizes are tough to find and expensive but I've seen guys running 20" car and SUV tires on their old trucks. It looks weird but it gets them down the road I guess.

Thank you. There definitely is a gap in that size. It's funny, I frequently hear questions about tall and skinny tires. Enough thar I think there is room in the market but I'm not the one having to lay out my money I suppose to make them.

The 19.5's were used on a lot of "low-pro" [low profile] trucks, such as U-Haul 24-26 footers, in the late '80's thru the '90's...

You are correct, I see them on most UPS and Fed Ex delivery vans as well.

I would imagine that Coker probably makes a 6.00 20; you'll be paying a pretty penny though if they do.

Just looked in a 5 year old Coker catalog, the cheapest 6.00 x 20 back then was $173.00, tube $29.00, shipping? That particular tire lists a 33.5" diameter. Don't know what their price would be now.

I'm converting to an 8 lug axle. I'd love to find something around 38" but short of going to 22.5s or big off road flotation style I don't see much. I was trying to envision what an S-160 would look like with 34s. To my mind it would seem a bit comical... like a roller skate. But maybe its not as bad as I'm imagining.

Let us know what you decide on, there are a lot of options. I like the 22.5's because of availability over 20's.

you have a 160? I'd stick with the 22.5" wheels. That should make finding tires both easier and cheaper.
