Broken Generator Mounting Tab

I took my generator out of the truck to do some more testing and cleaning only to find that the lower mounting tab is broken off. The end piece appears to be aluminum. I may or may not have someone locally able to weld the tab back on, the other thought I had was to find the part used and replace the broken piece. The genny is 6 volt but there are no markings or tags on it. My guess is it is a Delco Remy unit. Can anyone steer me in the direction of a parts source or a good rebuilder who can fix this? Maybe some one has a good used 6v Generator they might want to sell or a bad one that I can use for parts?

Re: Broken Generator Mounting Tab

Just look on ebay under Delco generator, find one whos case looks like yours and you should be able to get the whole generator cheaper than having yours welded. Amps and volts shouldn't matter if all you want is the rear piece. Ignore all the ones that are "rebuilt" and over $50
