BD 240 Rebuild?

I have just started to poke around under the hood of the S120 but one thing I noticed on the way home with it day before yesterday was that there was a pretty steady trail of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. The plugs are oily but haven't I haven't done a leak test down test yet or pulled the head but it has got me thinking about the possibility of a rebuild. Are all the parts and gaskets still available for this motor?

Others may speak up, but i have used rock auto several times for gaskets and the like. I live in England, so rock auto are one of the few that ship international. Apart from getting stung on import duties on the last stuff i bought, i have never had a problem. Luke

Gaskets can also be gotten from Olsens Gaskets. http://www.olsonsgaskets.com/ Can not speak to rings and pistons and such.

Pistons will likely have to be custom. Seals and beatings are still readily available.

I hope it is a simple fix an hour or two drive may improve.

"The beatings will continue until morale improves."

I know it was an unintentional typo...just having a little fun with it.
My posts contain my own opinions...your mileage may vary, void where prohibited, objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

Hahahaha! I gotta love auto-correct... Some days "beatings" is actually fitting when driving/caring for one of these old Binders.
