Heater core rebuild

I am in need of having my heater core recored. Do any of you have a good radiator shop you might recommend? I found a couple online that are back east but with shipping and all it will be over $250.00. Was hoping to find a good shop a little closer to West Yellowstone, Montana.Any help would be great. Or does any one know if there is a heater core that would work for my truck..1950 L-130..the core is 7 3/4 X 7 3/4 X 2 1/2....

Re: Heater core rebuild

I can ask the fellow down here, He fixed a swiss cheese pinto fuel tank for me It cost me $220, That was for a full clean out, solder up bunch of holes and coat the inside. Can you send a picture to my email account or if you still have my phone number, send a couple to it. I will also look to see what the extra core I have looks like.

Re: Heater core rebuild

another option might be try and find a late model something or other were the size is close that you can make work. saw in a magazine a couple years ago where someone did that.

Re: Heater core rebuild

I have a heater from a 56 S110 that I have cleaned and painted and put new wires on to the motor and it runs good and I'll sell it for what I have in it-$45 plus shipping. The thing weights 13lbs 10oz so you can figure out the shipping if you want it, I'm in Tucson.
