BD 240 two belt pulley

Was there such a thing as a two belt crank pulley on the BD240? If so, where would a guy find one? Maybe a IH combine from the same time era, I know some of the parts cross reference.I have a project coming up that would be easier with a crank two belt pulley.

Re: BD 240 two belt pulley

You might try looking for and at some of the bigger Binders in the 150 range. Some of these trucks had extra belts for accessory drives. I have been able to find workable pullies at truck wrecking yards. It may be necessary to have an adapter machined to adapt the extra pulley to the crankshaft. This may be a good time to think about changing all of the pulleys to something more modern, with narrow belts.
For me, the simplest upgrade option would be to re[place all of the pulleys with While this company does not specifically mention IHC, a person should be able to get few good ideas on their site.

I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

The bd240 I bought came out of a 57 4x4 supposedly. It has a 2 pulley crank and a 2 pulley water pump. The outer pulleys are made for a thinner belt. Could be factory?

Would be curious to know if it is factory.

A couple possibilities- the engine could have come from a truck with factory power steering. A parts book would show the details.
The engine could have come from a truck that had aftermarket air conditioning added. I saw one in a CL ad in California. I don't think I captured the pic though.
