Re: Bringing the '52 Home

Years of dust and pigeon poop seem to make a great protector. How does the inside look? 3 spd or 4?
Drop the oil pan and make sure the pick-up screen is not clogged with fillings or sludge. After sitting so long, best to clean the oil pan anyway.
Verify good connections from battery to chassis and starter. Hopefully no mice nests thru exhaust and into exhaust manifold.

You may be surprised with fresh gas in the lines and fresh oil/filter and spark...it may start and run somewhat well. (Fingers crossed)

Take your time...take lots of before pics before tearing apart...and label lots of ziplock bags for hardware and where it goes. Small plastic bins with lids are nice.

Original parts may not make truck fast but they do work fine if in no hurry. As was mentioned...try it out as built if you can get it all working and see how ya like it.
Sounds like you have some frame issues you need to fix if you can. Congrats on your new project that will cost ya like another child with no tax credits...Haa
