ibesq is absolutely correct.
I posted a method of getting the hood to fit the best it can, not all that long ago. The procedure is very much like that for the fat fender Fords. If a person were to use the forum search it should be easy enough to find. Lloyd is good at this sort of thing, maybe, if he has the time, he could post a link.
The short method is to align the back edge of the hood with the cowl. Once this is done, all of the front sheetmetal is lined up with the hood. This grill will be the next bit followed by the inner fender aprons and finally the fenders.
Get over the larger fender to hood gaps. This is part of the design for allowing hot air from the radiator and under-hood to escape. For some reason the totally escapes me, IHC installed panels that mostly closed the gap between the frame and the engine oilpan. I suspect this may have been a mud and gravel deflector that was more of a dirt trap than deflector. These three panels block air movement out of the engine compartment. I have one complete set and possibly two sets for the "L" and the "R" pickups. I will not be shipping them, but is a person really need these removable panels I might consider posting pictures with measurements. (maybe)
The picture if for reference only. This is the front panel. It is shown here with a Cummins 4bta in the L110. I may reproduce these panels in stainless steel.
Something else to seriously consider is buying the rear corner rubber bumpers. If you do not use these bumper bits, fender damage will happen.
I know who has this right side tank. If that person recognises his tank, please keep me in mind as a potential buyer.
