12V heater fan

I just converted my 56 S100 from 6V to 12V. I bought an in line resistor to step the power down for my heater blower but it didn't work. Has anyone put in a 12V fan motor to replace their 6V unit? is there a plug and play motor that anyone knows of?
Thanks

Exactly plug and play, probably not. But yes, there is more than likely a motor that will, maybe need some minor modification. This has a little information: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5945&p=44614&hilit=heater+motor+replacement#p44614

Can you post a picture of the heater? Would give us a better idea of which one you're asking about.

NAPA #BK 6551087, which is a VDO PM360, should be a direct fit. If you check Napaonline.com, don't get too concerned with the stock picture.

Re: 12V heater fan

Nicholas,
I have mine plumped without a control valve in the cab, I simply have a ball valve on the line coming off the water pump, in the summer I close it and when it gets chilly I open it.
