L112 Front Hub rear brake seals

I am converting my front drum brakes to disc using a TSM kit( that I haven't received yet), and have a question. Viewing this conversion online and here by other members that have already went that route, I have noticed that no rear seal was installed on the hub. Maybe the old felt unit will fit without interference, but I assumed a newer seal would be the way to go...Any input would be helpful.

thanks

i think you really need a shop manual or at the very least an exploded parts view. This OLD IHC design is complicated and not intuitive.
I have a parts manual and I will post a picture later this PM. I may have a shop manual. If I have the shop procedure, I will try to post this also.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

Re: L112 Front Hub rear brake seals

I don't recall a felt seal on the front, but I think these are the numbers you need.

Seal – CR #18149, NAPA – #NOS18149, National – #7600S
Inner Cone - #14130
Inner Cup – #14274
Outer Cone – #12580
Outer Cup – #12520

Re: L112 Front Hub rear brake seals

Thanks, Guys. My local NAPA store has two in stock, I'll pick them up today and assemble them tonight( already have the new bearings and the new cups are already installed on the hubs) for a test fit. Sadly, my old school parts man has finally retired, leaving me with the blank stare at the parts store if I can't get my parts thru rockauto....

OK, got the seals from NAPA, the hub diameter(2.74") was good, but the shaft(1.314" )diameter was way too big, it was 1.81"...Back to the books. I'm still wondering if the original IHC felt seal arrangement will work without interference. I should have the kit in the next couple of weeks and will know then....

Re: L112 Front Hub rear brake seals

Also, would anyone happen to have a part number for the front axle washer that installs behind the crown nut( IHC p/n 97 786 H, page 8/ group 02 of the MT-63 parts book) as well as the hub cap for the hub that fits over the axle nut. I packed my originals away so carefully that I can't find them......again

Thanks,
Terrell

Paul, I was wrong in stating the hub seal p/n you listed was wrong....I measured the the spindle itself rather than the part that the seal rides on(duh). Works like a champ. Thanks again.
