Making room for other projects. These two both run now with fuel and a battery. The BG241 actually seems like a decent engine. I would rebuild the head before dropping it in a truck (valves and seats are worn), but with 47psi of oil pressure at idle and compression test results between 135-145psi I think it'd survive in a truck for a while. The SD240 is the engine I pulled from my truck in Dec. It still has a knock in #6 hole ( piston slap) but I weighed all 12 rods I had laying around and re-assembled it with 6 that were within 9g of each other. The engine rebuilder used rods that varied by 35+grams. It turns out that once I grouped the rods by weight I had ended up with a set that had good little end bushings as well. Even though I only ran the engine for a minute or so after assembly I can tell it is much smoother and quieter.

What a hoot. Wish I needed one. This looks like a Mickey Thompson creation!
