Radial Tires

At the risk of beating the subject to death, I am looking for opinions on the use of radials on my Firestone 17.5 x 5.25 tubeless rims (max tire size 8-17.5) I bought from a member for my S-120 to replace the split ring wheels that it came with. My tire vendor has recommended Cooper RM 120 HWY tires, size 215 75 R 17.5. I know Kevin of this forum has had radials on his 17.5 rims and has had no problems. I do want to get away from the split rims because I think they would be a negative factor when it comes time to sell. Opinions welcome.- Stickman 207

Re: Radial Tires

I'd look at the spec's for the tires, and try and match load and rpm (revs per mile) as close as possible. It will keep the speedo accurate and you'll not overload the tires.
