1955 design change?

My L112 (built late 51 but 52 vin) has the vin stamped on the block where Bedrockjon said, also the triple diamond cast into the block drivers side near the back, and 220 cast into the sump pan.

Silver Diamond engines had the triple diamond logo cast in the block. As far as I know all 220, 240 and 264 engines used the oil pan originally designed for the 220, so that doesn't necessarily indicate the displacement.
