More pictures would be great, but I have seen "worse" shape ones bring more than that, and better shape ones bring less. It does have lots of parts that folks would look for.

The cool thing about this truck is the current owner says and runs and moves under it own power...I wish the pictures were a little clearer before I make a decision on a possible purchase...then there is the shipping cost...

Around in my neck (upstate NY) these trucks are as rare as hens teeth...

In my opinion, I would make the drive. The truck looks good in the fuzzy picture, better than mine did when I bought it. But I've seen others that look nice in pictures and underneath are pretty rough. Me, I wonder what's up with the passenger side of the hood. There's nothing over there that would put off that much of a glare.

Sorry to be mister skeptical.

Re: Early 1950's truck body rust?

I have reread this thread about 4 times. The truck has been for sale for over a year. What is keeping it from selling? The pictures are crap, so it is impossible to form and informed opinion. Get more and better pictures or forget about it.
Any person who buys an OLD IHC truck should understand that parts are not easy to find if not impossible. A few of us have collected our own part departments for our possible future needs.
In the last two decades I have gathered enough body parts to build three or more L&R trucks. I would never keep this crap around if I had another ready source for these parts. To save anyone the disappointment when asking for something, Nothing is for sale. I never keep anything driveline. I did sell one driver's door for $400. I got a certified IHC Dealer rebuilt engine as part of a warehouse of 9 truck loads of Old IHC everything, and I gave it away.
It should be important to have a plan, which may have to include a parts source if a person is going to do anything heroic with an Old IHC pickup.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have
