I'm the current caretaker of a '56 S-120 4x4, gently used, just over 20K miles. The only time the truck has not started for us was a winter in the '80's or early '90's when we had an honest -30 F. Located NE of Green Bay.

well mudpuppy, Green Bay ( go packers) is about 2 1/2 hours north of me, There is a reason we call it the frozen tundra, I see on the weather that you are getting freezing rain today and we are getting hit tonight. I have a sister in Algoma and my son lives in Ladysmith. I would love to see a pic of your truck. Life long WI. resident except for military service.

Re: winter in WI

Rbelgum,
We iced up overnight. The Hwy Dept did a good job keep the main roads passable,
but the side roads and driveways here are a mess. Thank God for AWD.

Go Packers? Well, I'm a Bears fan, in spite of the ownership, who seem intent on
running the franchise into the ground. I will say the Packers org is doing a great job
at Lambeau and the stadium district. We took a guided tour with Chuck Mercein a
few months ago. Well worth the money.

I will post a picture of the truck later today. It is no pristine beauty, showing a few dents
and dings from hauling brush, snowplowing, and family use.

I did sweep off the truck 4 or 5 times this winter. Next door in MN. Here's a pic for the heck of it. I would never try and start it with 15/40.
BTW, Thinking of selling.

rbelgum, Its a Seal Skin cover, bout $150 bucks, second year no rips, tears etc. Not top of the line, I figured the full size 50'0 F--d and c---s were the same, they are universal. Works for me, I am in the city.
