Trying to find Valencia Orange

I'm just wondering if anybody has found what modern paint matches Internationals Valencia orange. My cab was repainted Omaha orange some where down the road and I don't care for it much. Its too bright and when it gets wet it looks like school bus yellow. But my bed is original paint and love it, the only problem is I can't find it anywhere.

not sure about Ohio, but here in the Dallas Texas area, English Color (automotive paint supply store) can match any color you have, provided you can get the sample into their store. Might be hard for a bed, but maybe the tailgate?

their web site doesn't look like they have locations in Ohio. maybe there is a similar paint supply store in your area. http://www.englishcolor.com/LOCATIONS/index.html

That place seems a bit pricey. I just noticed today that my local Napa can scan paint, so I'll give it a try . I also have a piece of firewall that has paint on it.

This does'nt help you with the color code but I thought it was a good example. I'm not sure where I downloaded the picture. [Advertizement] It would look good enlarged on a shop wall.

Do I have to repaint? Is there something wrong with school bus yellow?

Re: Trying to find Valencia Orange

Wrong may not be the best word. If you like the color, it is the right color. I the question was / is this color correct, this color is IHC 409-21 80970 and that makes it an original correct IHC color. If I or someone else does not like the color, look away. There are lots of other places to look. I like that color on that truck. The two-tone takes the look out of the school bus yard.

Re: Trying to find Valencia Orange

I like both trucks. The 2 tone looks good. The truck I posted may not be correct. Photo's and computers change colors. I have read before that the Valencia oarnge is a little on the yellow side. I like what i've seen of it.
He posted that there is a place on the bed that the color looks good. To his liking. Thats why I think rather than ordering paint online it may be better to take a sample and have it matched to his liking. I worked 15 years as a printer. Before computers matched colors. That color could get scewed into something not to his liking without a good color match. It's very touchy to match light pastel colors.
I would consider painting my grain truck Velincia oarnge
Color is appealing to the eye that likes it.
