Cracked Front Engine Mount BG241

Am going through my (new to me) L-110. Somewhere in its life, it had a BG241 installed. The front motor mount appears to be a cast piece - is cracked and chunks of it are missing. This is the horizontal flange under the water pump that the A-frame looking thingy attaches to. In the attached picture, it is the flange with three fasteners on it, located above the A-frame thingy, and forward of the water pump mount. I can not find a Parts Breakdown picture that covers this section, and have not taken the water pump off to explore further.

Please tell me this is a separate part (most likely) - not a casting on the engine!
If it is a separate part, is it the same part for all engine options - or is it BG241-specific?
If it is a separate part - where do I find one?

Lastly - is there a maintenance manual for the BG241 engine? I'm trying to get familiar with the location of accessories, routing of plumbing, preventative maintenance, etc. - it was not complete and running when it came into my possession...

Thanks in advance for any help!
Heinz

Re: Cracked Front Engine Mount BG241

By the time the BG engines were made, the front mounts were different - mounting under the crank. So your front mount is probably the original. The bracket that bolts under the water pump is a separate piece, 105 971 R1. Then there's the insulator, 72 085 R92, which can be rebuilt, and maybe someone will chime in with who does that. And then there's the wishbone part, 72 089 R1. Rubber pads between the wishbone and the frame and you're good to go. Hope that helps some.

Re: Cracked Front Engine Mount BG241

Thank you everyone for your inputs.

I've been told that the bracket (105 971 R1) that bolts under the water pump can be welded - I will give that a try.

I do not have the insulator (72 085 R92) that goes underneath the bracket.
The attached picture (not sure why it loads sideways) shows where a previous owner installed two rubber donuts in its place - will these work?
I'm not shooting for "correct from the factory" - I'm going for functional. If these will not work - would someone have a spare insulator?

Lastly, I looked all over the net (including Binder Books) and can not find a manual for the BG241.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to find one?

Thanks again for your help!

Re: Cracked Front Engine Mount BG241

In the link Jake posted, for parts, look in MT-118, and maybe MT-124. For service and specs, you'll probably do best with 11-CTS as far as what's in the library. You might want to search for service and repair manuals for the BD240, since it's the same engine.
