1953-1955 Grill Measurements

Does anyone know the difference in the Small R Series Grill's versus the Larger R Series trucks?

I believe R-100, R110 & R-120, R130 are considered the smaller shorter grill's.
The R-140 and up are taller with bigger fenders.

Are they wider too? Or can they be trimmed down?

Thank you

I don't have the exact dimensions but as you can see they are the exact same size except for some holes and the cutouts for the frame....

Nice!
Are the Deeper cut ones for the smaller trucks? Because they sit lower?

The grills are the same width. The lower skirt on the big truck grill is different, but is easily modified. I have both in storage.

Yes the larger trucks sit higher and the frames have less taper in front.

Re: 1953-1955 Grill Measurements

I have an L110 and an R150 frame in my carport. I will take pictures and measurement before I go in for the day.
Until then I do not want to "guess" at the differences.

Thank you all for your input and knowledge!!
I just dressed my grille up with some chrome and didn't notice it came from a larger truck. Probably from a school bus :)

Cheers
