I was looking through Then and Now's Facebook page and came across the IH 220- 240 motor mount. I have an email question in asking them if they are making this mount and if so the cost of the mount.

Here's what I received back from Then and Now Automotive.

Thank you for your inquiry . We are re-vulcanizing this mount . Please send us your cores . The cost is $49.50 ea. plus shipping .
Thank you,

I replied back with another question and asked if they could make this entire mount. This is what I got back. I am going to send them my mount.

Send us what you have , we will try to duplicate what you have .

Can someone measure the thickness of the original mount for me so I can let them know when I send mine?

I believe the front motor mount on an L is 5/8 - 3/4" thick (between plates). My original rubber was dried out and had shrunk some.

Here is a link to pics of what another member did.

I had my mount redone by a guy from my work that works with Urethane's a lot and has experience bonding it to
many surfaces. So far it works well.

Thanks Rich,
I've already gone the polyurethane route now twice, I'm not going to spend the money on it again. First time it tore apart, second time it cracked under pressure of the motor and both of them were the same polyurethane used in the article you linked.

I will find out what my co-worker used and keep everyone posted on how is holds up along the way. I have not had many miles on the engine since back in the truck. Winter season in PA and salt on the roads already so will have to wait til Spring.

At what mileage were you running into problems with your urethane mounts?

I would be interested in the vulcanized mounts if mine fails on me. Let us know how it turns out.

No miles and not even running yet. The truck is still in restoration.

Kris,

What ever happened with the motor mount? I might be in the market for one soon!
