1950 L-110 International Harvester Tailgate NEEDED!

Hi! My name is Eli. I am looking for a tailgate for my 1950 L-110 International Harvester pickup. I have looked all over for one but have had no luck yet. The tailgate that is on my truck right looks like it is the original frame but the middle of it is just welded on scrap metal. I think any L -series pickup tailgate will work. I am willing to pay as long as it is a reasonable price. Also, if any one knows where I can get exterior mirrors that match my pickup that would be helpful too! Any help finding one would be a greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You will have a hard time finding a tailgate, there have been some on here who have created their own. Look for pickup bed trailers. I saw one pickup bed trailer listed on an IH site on facebook, do not know where it was. They were asking $350 for it. I have seen a fair looking tailgate get that much alone.

Thank you I will look into that! I thought about getting one made but I couldn't find anyone who would do it.

You can get creative and make one of wood.

That is Tim in Montana AAweld, great guy, you only get the bed, not the trailer part so transporting could be an issue unless you are local,

Would it be possible to ship it to me, if you don't live near me, if I paid for the shipping? If you would not be able to ship and if I do not live near you you do not have to pull it out.
