I don't "tend" to disagree, I totally disagree!
90+ % of the time using the original IH part number is far more accurate than a large % of aftermarket catalogs, especially the online ones.
Not even gonna get into what others call certain parts (b'cos IDC),but when using IH #'s I always use IH nomenclature.
Crossed the hose Buzz posted to Napa since I had it open and get...
UP24458
MM that one you posted doesn't show at all (?).
If the OP is looking for the pinion seal...
There are 2 "seals" listed in the manual,so I crossed both.
79680H Seal (IH)
Crossed to 2 National pn's
450085 2"ID x 3.001OD x .500W (thick)

470530 2"ID x 3.001OD x .375W

82246R1 Seal (IH)
Turns out to be felt...
5M293 National

The Nat'l even crosses to a Napa #

The IH manual also lists the complete assy. 82492R91 Retainer, w/seal assy. which I know from experience includes the metal piece (retainer) the 2 above seals go into that bolts to the differential. That in turn was sealed with what we called a "licorice strip",which was a sticky black thing about 1/8" dia. x 12"L. inboard of the bolts. A good bead of sillycone will do the same job today.
From the illustration the felt is between the retainer and the seal.
I replaced both the seal and felt ring on on the pinion shaft with two SKF seals. PN#19969.
