I'm a little off track with this subject since I'm currently changing my rear end to an 8.8 but...Saw this somewhere and had to check it out online. Has anybody converted their 3 speed column shift to a floor shift using either the Hurst or Mr. Gasket conversion kit? I found the installation directions online and was just wondering about this.

Looks like it could work, I have read the Mr Gasket kit is a little weak compared to The Hurst kit though. Mr. Gasket kit sells for around $30 and the Hurst kit for around $200

Wow

This brings back some memories from when I first got my licence this was all the rage (late 70's)

The company we all used was Speco nearly unbreakable and looks like they still make them.

Here is a NOS one for sale probably no good for your truck but just thought I would post it.

if you have the later 3 speed with two shift levers coming out, should be pretty straight forward to do with aftermarket kits, a little fussing with adjustment of linkages,

if you have the older version with one shift lever, could be a littler tougher.
