Steering column removal

I am attempting to separate the steering column and steering gear on my 1952 l110 with no luck! Any tips would be great! I finally have time to work on this old thing as we are snowed in in Georgia!

Re: Steering column removal

Do you have the steering gear out of the steering box? I think these are one-piece units, but I haven't had mine apart yet.

Gearbox and column are one piece. Not something you want to attempt to take apart and put back together half attached to the truck. MM
